from our Artistic Director, Katy Taylor...
““We’re proud to present another jam-packed season featuring some of the UK’s best touring theatre companies, live music, stand-up comedy and brand-new family shows. We’ve got lots of surprises in store too as we gear-up to celebrate our 40th Anniversary as an Arts Centre this October – and we hope you’ll join us to make it one to remember! We’re welcoming Elysium Theatre Company back on Friday 13 October with their production of Reiver – Tales from The Borders which sold out here last year. You can catch our Gala Durham co-production, Beyond Caring which takes a funny and moving look at life behind the doors of a care home on Wednesday 11 October. We’re also hosting our first Silent Discos as part of the celebrations. And, we’re looking forward to taking a step back in time with From Gold to Rio for a night of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran hits!
Keep an eye on our social channels and website for more news and updates as our anniversary approaches. And talking of our website, our team have been working hard behind the scenes on a brand-new site which is due to launch this autumn – just in time for our anniversary!
Later in the year, I am delighted to share that we're teaming-up with Alnwick Playhouse again for our 2023 Christmas show. From the same creative team that brought you The Wind in the Willows, tickets are on sale now for what promises to be a magical retelling of family favourite, Snow White! We're excited to be presenting a much bigger Christmas programme this December with something for all ages. Watch this space for more festive announcements coming soon!
Whatever you join us for, we look forward to seeing you at Queen's Hall soon.”
